‘She who Wasn’t Tamed’ to attend English fest

Iranian short film ‘She who Wasn’t Tamed’ has been scheduled to attend the Kinofilm Manchester International Short Film Festival in the UK.

Directed by Saleh Kashefi, the short will be on screen at the 16th edition of the English Film event.

A brief synopsis for the 16-minute short reads, “Hanieh is a high school student who tries her best to win the poem recitation competition to make her teacher and family happy”.

Paniz Esmaeeli and Anita Baqeri are the main cast members of the flick.

The 16th edition of the Nahal International Student Short Film Festival in Iran has been the event where the film was premiered. Since then, ‘She Who Wasn’t Tamed’ has attended a number of film festivals around the world, including the 42nd Piotiers Film Festival in France.

The short will also soon attend the 17th edition of the Oxford Film Festival in the US.

The fest is famous for showcasing the best short films and debut features from around the world.

The latest edition of the Kinofilm which was originally slated for February 24- March 01 has been re-scheduled and will be held March 21-29, 2020.
